At Cardinal Wiseman we have an established routine of prayer throughout the day. Each school day begins with prayers written by students and closes with a prayer/reflection led by students and streamed from the chapel into all classrooms. Each lesson commences with prayer; students are given the opportunity to lead these and show a keenness to do this. The prayer at the end of the school day in particular is popular with students. The prayer life of the school reflects the liturgical year of the Church. The seasons of the year, the feasts, solemnities, Gospel readings and prayers are celebrated and reflected upon at the relevant time in the year.
All that I think,
All that I say,
All that I am,
Everything for Christ,
Amen.
Dear Lord,
Grant me knowledge that I may see what is true,
May I respect others as they are made in the image of You,
Give me ambition that I may become the best I can be,
Grant me resilience to rise above adversity,
A compass with Christ at its centre and core,
A Compass for Life that will guide me more.
Amen.
