The Transition Work provided below is designed to help develop vital skills and knowledge ahead of starting your Sixth Form studies in September. It aims to widen your understanding and enjoyment of the subjects that you are interested in studying. The academic step from GCSE to Level 3 courses is significant and an ability to carry out effective independent learning is key. The current situation of school closure and isolation means that you are already needing to develop these skills. Do not worry if you find working at home difficult to begin with, that is to be expected, just remember to give it a go and ask for help from your Sixth Form teachers.
We recommend that you not only complete Transition Work for the three subjects you have chosen but also for you backup subject choices or any other subjects you are considering studying. This again will aid you in choosing the most appropriate courses to study.
We look forward to meeting you on Enrolment Day (details to be confirmed) and to working with you throughout your Sixth Form studies.
